My photography journey started during my time at university, in a friends bedroom - she had a wall covered in photos. They were mostly candid shots taken here, there and everywhere - the quality didn’t matter, it was the fact they were there, and they covered the whole wall.

“Wow, she’s captured her whole life” I thought to myself. It also seemed her life was way more exciting than mine! Since then, I’ve never been far away from a camera of some description - mostly capturing family, friends, travel and anything else that seemed worth remembering. In a way, that’s what photos are to me - memories.

In recent years my children have been active participants in both sport and music, which has pushed me to learn the specific skills required to create both fast-action and low-light images - hence the emphasis on these elements in my portfolio.
